(Bismarck, ND) — The North Dakota Game and Fish Department is encouraging hunters to have their deer checked for chronic wasting disease [[ CWD ]]. The department has posted the procedures to follow for sampling and testing. There are at-home kits available. The Game and Fish Department needs the heads of adult or yearling deer dropped off at collection sites they have posted. CWD is a degenerative brain disease that affects deer, moose and elk.
