Much of South Dakota Remains in Moderate to Extreme Drought

(Pierre, SD) — The latest drought monitor shows that much of South Dakota’s southern and southeastern areas remain very dry. Severe to extreme drought is shown across many counties along the Nebraska border with exceptional drought remaining in the far southeastern corner of the state near Yankton. Far eastern and central areas of the state are considered abnormally dry. The entire state is listed in some form of drought.
