(North Englewood, MD) — Kirk Cousins makes his return to FedEx Field when the Vikings visit the Commanders on Sunday. It’s the first time Cousins will play at his old stomping grounds since signing with the Vikings prior to the 2018 season.
The 34-year-old has the Vikings out to a 6-and-1 start after a 34-26 win over the Cardinals in Week Eight. The Purple also added a new offensive threat by trading for tight end TJ Hockenson this past week.
In other team news, the Vikings faith in edge rusher Za’Darius Smith is paying off.
The free-agent acquisition was named the NFC Defensive Play of the Month for October yesterday. Smith has six-and-a-half sacks and eight tackles for loss during his four games last month.
He leads the NFL in both categories this season.
