(Custer County, SD) — A vehicle chase in Custer County on Thursday has led to the arrest of one man.
The Custer County Sheriff says the pursuit started around 8:30 on Thursday morning as they were looking for a 21-year old who had allegedly violated a no contact order. A Custer County Sheriff’s Deputy found the man on Highway 79, but the driver kept going when the deputy attempted to pull him over.
Once the driver got to the Hermosa area, a sheriff sergeant was able to use “stop sticks” to end the vehicle pursuit. The name of the driver has not been released but he is being charged with Eluding Law Enforcement, Possession of a Controlled Substance and other charges.
