Trooper Narrowly Avoids Injury On Crash Site

(Jamestown, ND) — A North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper is forced to jump out of the way of a vehicle that smashed into his patrol SUV as he was assisting in a crash on I-94. The trooper was responding to a jackknifed tractor-trailer in Jamestown around six o’clock last night when he had to jump into the median to avoid being hit. The roadway was icy from a fine mist that was falling and the Highway Patrol says within a short time of the semi crash more than a half-dozen crashes occurred. Several people were injured and taken to the hospital and the stretch of I-94 westbound in Jamestown was closed for nearly four hours.
