SD Lawmakers Facing New Restrictions On Use Of State Devices, Accounts

(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota lawmakers are facing new restrictions on their use of state devices and accounts. The Legislature’s Executive Board passed a change yesterday in the body’s technology policy. Legislators will no longer be allowed to use their state-owned devices and email accounts for outside personal business. The ban also applies to legislative staff and consultants.
