Fargodome Officials Investigating After Employee Allegedly Uses “Discriminatory Language”

(Fargo, ND) — Fargodome officials are investigating after a claim that an employee allegedly used discriminatory language while working the NDSU versus UND game Saturday. Valley News Live says it has received a video allegedly showing a dispute over whether a day worker should take off his head scarf that represented his Islamic faith. The accused employee was asked if the supposed rule should apply to women wearing hijab. The employee allegedly referred to hijabs as “rags” and said someone wearing one would not be allowed to work. Fargodome’s General Manager Rob Sobolik says “there are no restrictions” preventing people from wearing articles of clothing pertaining to their faith, and that the video has been forwarded to the proper officials.
