Man Sentenced to 3+ Years in Prison For Role in Capitol Riot

(Washington, DC) — A man from East Helena has been sentenced to three years and two months in prison for storming the U.S. Capitol Building during the January 6th insurrection. He also has to pay two-thousand-dollars in restitution. Thirty-nine-year-old Joshua Hughes, who was sentenced in Washington D.C. on Tuesday, went into the Capitol Building with his brother Jerod. They were some of the first rioters to make it inside. Jerod Hughes will be sentenced this coming January 6th.
