(Eagan, MN) — The Vikings still have an outside shot of earning the NFC’s number-one seed as they head into Week 17 of the regular season. Minnesota beat the New York Giants 27-24 on Saturday, and the Eagles lost to the Cowboys 40-34. The 12-and-3 Vikings are essentially two games behind the 13-and-2 Eagles since Philadelphia beat Minnesota earlier this season. The Purple will need to win their final two games and the Eagles have to lose each of their two contests in order for Minnesota to get the number-one seed for the first time since 1998. Minnesota visits Green Bay on New Year’s Day.
