(Bismarck, ND) — As the year comes to a close there will be a greater police presence on the roadways. State and local police want to crack down on violations over the holiday that most often cause crashes like distracted driving, DUI and speeding. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says there have been 99 people killed in 97 crashes this year. In 2021 there were a total of 101 people killed in 85 crashes.
