Pickup Strikes Moose North Of Bismarck

(Burleigh County, ND) — A driver is okay after he struck a moose with his pickup in Burleigh County. Steve Fleckenstein was traveling south on Highway 83 yesterday evening when he hit the animal near 240th Avenue between Baldwin and Wilton. Deputies say the animal was “a smaller bull moose.” Fleckenstein wasn’t injured. A game tag was issued to allow the animal to be harvested.
