SD Supreme Court Backs Decision To Demolish Unfinished Sioux Falls Mansion

(Pierre, SD) — The South Dakota Supreme Court is backing a lower court’s decision to allow the city of Sioux Falls to demolish an un finished mansion. The decision was released Wednesday and ends a four-year legal battle. The partially built home is located in the 68-hundred block of South Westfield Trail in the Prairie Hills neighborhood. The home has had a number of code violations since 2016 and had been deemed an unsafe structure and unfit for human occupancy. The homeowners were also speed with health and nuisance citations.
