(Bismarck, ND) — Today marks the first day of the new legislative session in North Dakota. Republicans hold 43 more seats than Senate Democrats and 70 more seats in the House. One of the biggest issues facing the state is the workforce issue, despite North Dakota holding onto the second-lowest unemployment rate in the country. Abortion is another hot button issue the state legislature will face as the 2023 session officially starts.
