(Sioux Falls, SD) — Freezing rain and blowing snow have combined for what state troopers describe as difficult driving conditions across South Dakota. Slick roads and low visibility are reported across central and southeast South Dakota. Gusts today are expected to be close to 40 miles an hour in some places. In Sioux Falls, classes are cancelled today. Residents in Sioux Falls and other communities are being urged to work from home if possible. Sioux Area Metro officials say they plan a late start today — with buses set to begin running at 8-30 instead of their usual 5-45 times.
