I-29 Reopened from Sioux Falls to Brookings

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Road crews have managed to clear Interstate 29 from Sioux Falls to Brookings but I-90 remained closed overnight from Chamberlain to Sioux Falls because of the heavy snow. The snow combined with a large number of vehicles that became stuck on the interstate and blocked several lanes of traffic to force the closure. Cleanup is expected to be finished today. Meanwhile, there will be no classes in Sioux Falls again today in order to give snow crews more time to clear the roads.
