(Sioux Falls, SD) — Light snow remains part of the forecast for much of eastern South Dakota today. Travel warnings are also posted across Minnesota and Wisconsin on Wednesday as this week’s storm continues eastward.
The heaviest totals of snowfall from recent storms have been recorded in Lake Andes with 27 inches, 26 inches in Armour and 22 inches in Crooks, South Dakota. Mitchell could wind up receiving nearly 20 inches. Though all-time records may not be set in many communities, this recent snowfall will likely land in the top five heaviest snow days for most of them.
