(Helena, MT) — Another Republican representative is resigning from the Montana Legislature. Mallerie Stromswold of Billings announced Saturday she was stepping away from the State Capitol because of issues related to mental health and school. The Daily Montanan also reported that Stromswold claimed to receive backlash from members of her caucus when she “did not fall in line.” She is the third representative to step down in the past month, following Becky Beard, who resigned to take a Senate seat, and Doug Flament.
