(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota lawmakers are considering legislation that would clarify the state’s abortion laws. The bill would remove the requirement for doctors to provide the burden of proof when performing abortions in cases of rape or incest, and place that on the state. A specific allowance would also be made for ectopic pregnancies. The legislative committee heard testimony yesterday regarding of the bill.
