(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Wild are locking down one of their top young forwards. The team signed left-winger Matt Boldy to a seven-year contract extension worth 49 million dollars yesterday. He’ll become the third-highest paid player on the Wild, behind Kirill Kaprizov and Jared Spurgeon. The 21-year-old was a first round pick in 2019, and he has 12 goals and 17 assists in 42 games this season. Boldy and the Wild visit the Capitals tonight.
