(Pierre, SD) — The South Dakota Legislature is sending a housing infrastructure bill to Governor Kristi Noem’s desk. The bill would provide 150-million dollars in state surplus money and 50-million in federal funding for housing infrastructure. The intent of the bill is to increase the supply of housing, which could bring down home prices and make housing more affordable. The bill passed this week and awaits Governor Noem’s decision on signing it.
