House Bill Proposed To Stop Ballot Drop Boxes

(Bismarck, ND) — A bill is being considered in the state House that would ban ballots from drop boxes. Supporters of House Bill 1314 say today it would help stop illegal voting. But opponents say the boxes are used by residents year-round to drop off things like tax payments and court documents. Election officials also point out that voter fraud has never been reported from a secured drop box in the state despite most of them being located outdoors.
