(Pierre, SD) — A Rapid City state senator — Julie Frye-Mueller — has now lost her voting rights in the legislature, a day after she was stripped of her committee assignments. She is not removed from office. Frye-Mueller had been on the Senate Local Government and Senate Health and Human Services committees. Another lawmaker says Frye-Mueller — who’s a vocal critic of vaccines — had a conversation with a staffer about vaccines that was — quote — taken differently.
