(Pierre, SD) — Legalized abortion opponents are marking the 50th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision in South Dakota. Pro-life activists gathered at the State Capitol yesterday for an “hour of reflection.” The U.S. Supreme Court overturned the Roe v. Wade decision last year, throwing regulation of abortion to states. The recent decision triggered a state law that banned nearly all abortions. An exception is made for the life of the mother. The state Senate passed a non-binding resolution Thursday in support of the Supreme Court’s recent decision.
