(Rapid City, SD) — Cattle ranchers and cowboys from across the Midwest are in Rapid City to attend the 65th annual Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo. The show and rodeo are part South Dakota’s agriculture industry that contributes nearly six-billion dollars to the state economy. The South Dakota Beef Industry Council says South Dakota has approximately four million head of cattle, ranking seventh among beef-producing states in the country. The event runs through February 4th and is the second largest in the state following the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
