Detractors Say Health Care Bill Could Lead To More Costs

(Bismarck, ND) — A bill aimed at providing more health care options for North Dakotans is being met with opposition. House Bill 1416 states health insurers cannot obstruct a patient’s choice by preventing health care providers from participating in insurers’ panels of providers. Those opposing the measure argue that patients could receive unexpected charges from their providers. The next hearing on the bill is scheduled for later this morning.
