ISU Economist Talks Disinflation

(Ames, IA) — Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell says the U-S economy is in a period of “disinflation.” Iowa State University Economics Professor Peter Orazem [[ uh-RAH-zem ]] says that’s when inflation is still happening, but its rate is becoming less. Orazem says he thinks the Fed is likely to cut interest rates a couple more times in it’s ongoing effort to get inflation under control.
