New Law Improves Workers’ Comp For ND First Responders

(Bismarck, ND) — A new law will improve workers’ compensation for North Dakota first responders. Governor Burgum signed the bill expanding benefits into law yesterday. The law changes workers’ compensation rules for law enforcement and firefighters surrounding how service time is accrued. The law also allows first responders who have a cardiac event to get workers’ comp no matter how long they’ve served.
