(Pierre, SD) — A Gettysburg business is accused of breaking South Dakota grain laws. The Public Utilities Commission is considering 70-thousand dollars in civil fines against Banghart Properties for purchasing truckloads more grain than the five-million dollars worth its Class B license permits annually. Its ownership and management team are also facing lifetime grain-licensing bans. The commission is also being asked to seek criminal charges in the matter. The company has 20 days to answer the summons.
