SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A welcome home ceremony is scheduled for the South Dakota Army National Guard’s 1742nd Transportation Company on Sunday, Feb 12, at 2:30 p.m. at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls.
The public is encouraged to attend the event. The unit recently returned from a year-long federal deployment to Arizona to assist U.S. Customs and Border Patrol with securing the southwest border.
Planned speakers for the ceremony include Gov. Kristi Noem, Rep. Dusty Johnson, and Maj. Gen. Jeff Marlette, SDNG Adjutant General.
