(Undated) — Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre is filing three separate lawsuits against a Mississippi state auditor and a pair of national sports commentators. Favre filed the lawsuits against Shad White, Shannon Sharpe and Pat McAfee on Thursday. The lawsuit against White accuses him of “shamelessly and falsely attacking Favre’s good name” in order to advance his political career. Favre also alleges that Shannon Sharpe and Pat McAfee defamed him. Sharpe said Favre “stole money from people that really needed that money,” and McAfee called him a “thief” who was “stealing from poor people in Mississippi.” Favre became involved in a public fraud case in 2020 after investigators found that he was paid one-point-one-million-dollars in funds from Temporary Assistance for Needy Families for speeches he never made.
