Grocery Tax Reduction Bill Leaves Committee Without Recommendation

(Pierre, SD) — A bill that would reduce the state sales tax on groceries is leaving the South Dakota House Taxation Committee without recommendation. The committee considered killing the bill yesterday before forwarding it to the House Committee on Appropriations. The measure would decrease the state grocery sales tax by two-percent.
