(Minot, ND) — A man convicted of murder in the fatal stabbing of a Minot man will most likely spend the rest of his life behind bars. Court officials say 59-year-old Milo Whitetail was hit with a 50-year sentence yesterday after a Minot jury convicted him of double-felony murder in the death of 43-year-old Eric Patterson. In May 2020, Whitetail stabbed Patterson dozens of times in the throat and chest after the two men got into an argument over a TV remote. Court officials say Whitetail had a long criminal record dating back to the 1980s.
