(Lincoln, NE) — A state lawmaker is promoting a so-called “conservative” bill to legalize medical marijuana in Nebraska. State Senator Anna Wishart says her proposal, LB588, is one of three legalization measures being pitched to lawmakers this legislative session. Her bill reportedly was the subject of a three-hour public hearing in the Legislature’s Judiciary Committee yesterday morning. Similar bills being promoted by Omaha senators Justin Wayne and Terrell McKinney reportedly would also nullify some previous convictions linked to marijuana use and possession.
