(Bismarck, ND) — A wind farm project has been approved for a permit to add turbines in sage grouse country. There has been concern the project would negatively affect the sage grouse population in southwest North Dakota. The Bismarck Tribune says the Public Service Commission approved the wind farm on Wednesday. Apex Clean Energy removed a couple of turbines in the plans as requested by the PSC. Seventy-four turbines will be located on 69 square miles of land south of Bowman.
