Senate Committee Advances Bill Barring Legislative Spouses From Becoming Lobbyists

(Pierre, SD) — A South Dakota Senate committee is advancing a bill that would ban legislative spouses from being employed as lobbyists. The bill’s sponsor says spouses who are lobbyists would have an “undisputable advantage” compared with other lobbyists and the general public.
