(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota Senate lawmakers are moving forward with a bill that would create an Office of Immigration. The Senate bill would put the office under the Department of Commerce. The office would be responsible for supporting recently immigrated individuals with immigration-related forms. Staffers would also help to expedite the immigration process for people coming to North Dakota from other countries to work. The bill now goes to the House.
