South Dakota Republican Rep. Gets Death Threat

(Pierre, SD) — A South Dakota Republican Representative is facing a death threat. Representative Fred Deutsch confirmed to KELOLAND News yesterday that he had received the threat. News of the threat comes after Deutsch posted a photo on Twitter Monday evening of himself and others celebrating the signing of legislation that bans nearly all forms of gender-affirming medical care for minors in the state. Opponents say the bill violates the constitution. Judges have temporarily blocked similar laws in Arkansas and Alabama.
