(Pierre, SD) — The South Dakota House is considering a bill that would create mandatory DUI sentencing guidelines. The House Judiciary Committee sent the measure to the full House Wednesday. The measure would eliminate the option of suspended sentences for those convicted of at least four DUIs during a certain period of time. It would also require mandatory sentence completion, dropping the option of parole.
