SD Senate Committee Kills CO2 Eminent Domain Bill

(Pierre, SD) — A South Dakota Senate committee is killing a bill that would have denied the ability of companies behind two proposed carbon dioxide pipelines to use eminent domain. The Senate Commerce and Energy Committee voted unanimously to send the bill to the 41st day, which kills the measure. The House had approved the bill earlier this month.
