(Pierre, SD) — A major storm is pushing through South Dakota. Heavy snow began falling last night, with a winter storm warning in effect for the western and south-central areas of the state. Blizzard conditions will hit early this morning in the eastern part of the state and will last through tomorrow. Heavy winds and blowing snow are expected to make conditions worse and travel is not advised in many areas.
