(Bismarck, ND) — A bill aimed at bringing more responsibility to tenured education professionals is closer to becoming law. House Bill 1446 passed despite overwhelming opposition from outside the legislature. Opponents fear the process of making tenured faculty and staff more susceptible to being fired will spread to other colleges in other states. The bill makes it easier for colleges to terminate tenured faculty.
