Latest Storm Increases Chances for Spring Flooding

(Sioux Falls, SD) — The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls says the latest snow storm has increased the likelihood of spring flooding this year but extreme flooding is not considered likely. In its latest spring forecast, the National Weather Service reports chances for spring flooding are below normal to normal. But forecasters say the chances for extreme flooding can still increase if snow melts quickly or if more snowfall occurs this spring.
