(Fort Myers, FL) — Jose Miranda is dropping out of the World Baseball Classic. The Twins third baseman cited right shoulder soreness as his reason for leaving team Puerto Rico. Miranda will continue to play in Spring Training games, but he will be limited to the designated hitter slot for now. Miranda hit .268 with 15 home runs and 66 RBI during his rookie season last year. In other Twins news, Minnesota drew Philadelphia 4-4 in Spring Training yesterday. They play against the Rays today.
