SD House Moves Forward With Amended Running Mate Bill

(Pierre, SD) — The South Dakota House is moving forward with an amended bill dealing with changes to the primary system. The bill passed this week would allow candidates for governor to choose their running mates. The amended measure dropped a proposal that would have put all statewide candidates through the June primary system. The bill returns to the Senate for a vote on whether to concur with the change.
