(Undated) — Millions of people are under winter weather alerts as more snow hits parts of the western U.S. More snow fell in the mountains of California on Sunday. Recent winter snowstorms that slammed Southern California prompted a state of emergency in more than a dozen counties last week and claimed at least 13 lives. Meantime, a storm system is expected to bring snow and rain to areas in and around the Great Lakes this week, affecting cities like Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, and Detroit. As of this morning, more than 14-thousand customers were without power in California, nearly 40-thousand in Michigan and more than 125-thousand in Kentucky.
