(Goodhue County, MN) — Nine people are safe after being rescued from an ice sheet on Lake Pepin. Authorities and members of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources responded to the lake Sunday evening. Airboats coming in from Maiden Rock, Wisconsin used airboats to reach the people and bring them to shore. No one was injured. Crews returned yesterday to get a snowmobile, ATV, and fishing gear left on the ice.
