Badlands National Park Going Cashless

(Rapid City, SD) — Badlands National Park is going cashless. The park made its entrance fees payable only by card at the beginning of March. Officials say the move was made to reduce the time park staff spends handling cash, and is a way to increase revenue available for critical projects. The chief ranger says more fee money goes back to the park using a cashless system.
