Much of South Dakota Remains Under Winter Weather Advisory

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Almost all of South Dakota remains under a Winter Weather Advisory until midnight tonight, as snow totals across the state increase. Most roads are snow-covered and have icy conditions. State troopers say roads can be more icy than they appear and motorists are reminded to buckle up and slow down. Pierre has already received a half-foot of snow, while nearly three inches have fallen in Rapid City. Nearly two inches have fallen in Sioux Falls. Residents of Sioux Falls are asked to keep an eye on the snow tracker on the city’s website so they know when to keep their vehicles off the street when the plows come through.
