The bill was heard yesterday in the Senate Energy and Natural Resources committee and would prevent Game and Fish from imposing bans on deer baiting. The ban is commonly used to prevent chronic wasting disease, a deadly threat to deer. Supporters of the bill say baiting doesn’t necessarily contribute to the spread of CWD.
