(St. Paul, MN) — Video and audio recordings will soon be allowed at Minnesota criminal trials. The Minnesota Supreme Court ruled this week to eliminate the long-standing requirement prohibiting cameras in criminal trials. The only exception was if all parties and the judge consented. The new rules would allow cameras in the courtroom at the discretion of the trial judge presiding. The rule change will take effect January 1st, 2924.
